we all love to travel, don't we? visiting new places, experiencing new sights and sounds, new tastes and wonders, shopping, exploring, meeting new people, the occasional holiday romances.. lol! there's just something about holidays, vacations and travelling that's simply magical.

tokidoki Barbie - finally got my hands on her! :)

i finally picked this up from the post office today! thanks to a gf a. who helped facilitate the pre-order and have it re-directed all the way from the USA to me. yay! :) the official release is scheduled for a week or two later, so i'm actually one of the lucky folks who managed to get this much earlier than most other fans <3 <3 <3

tada!! my very own, limited edition, collector's tokidoki Barbie doll!!!

i just knew i wanted this the very first time i set eyes on her... what a unique piece of tokidoki art! and now it's finally in my hands, feels almost unreal, love it!

fellow fans will notice that this Barbie girl is truly authentically tokidoki - tattooed punk rock, chic and sexy, signature pink hair and pouty lips, sporting the tokidoki skull-heart-and-bones t-shirt and leopard-print tights, carrying a real tokidoki miniature purse in hand, walking her cute Bastardino cactus pup... all that attention to these tiny little details, oh wow, i'm impressed!

well, you may be shaking your head and clucking your tongue, thinking i'm no longer 16... but if tokidoki could get me acting like one, then why shouldn't i indulge and just give in to my occasional insane little fancies *grin*.

absolutely tokidoki-fied! :)

i was at the STGCC (Singapore comic con) over the weekend, and so thrilled to be able to meet my idol Simone Legno again (4th year in a row!) - got his autographs on a couple more of my tokidoki items, and of course, a photograph together :) my friends said i looked like a starstruck teenager with a schoolgirl crush in my photo... LOL.. well, i have to admit i did feel quite like a 16 year old that day... hehehe.

so for the comic con, my colleague - who's well aware of my love for all things tokidoki, promised to make me some tokidoki cupcakes (one-of-a-kind) specially to commemorate the event! they turned out super duper adorable! i kept the Timidina cactus pup and the chilli ones (because i love all things spicy!) and gave the cute Adios and Ciao Ciao pair to Simone Legno when i met him at the autograph session *grin*.

so yeah.. i did the schoolgirl crush thing. LOL! ;P

 

all this tokidoki excitement has gotten me catching up on the recent tokidoki news and happenings, and... OMG! i found something that i am sooooooo definitely getting! (perhaps as an early birthday gift for myself) :)

sometimes i forget...

sometimes i forget - just for a tad moment - how much i like certain things :)

i'm not quite as crazy over tokidoki in recent 1 - 2 years but that doesn't mean i've completedly weaned off tokidoki.. hehe. in fact, i'm still very much 'in love' with tokidoki, i just don't spend as much money on it, more like secretly admiring it from far nowadays.

i was just randomly browsing the web and decided to drop by tokidoki website to see what's new up there. my last bag purchase wasn't that long ago, i bought myself a tokidoki with my 30% Play Imaginative birthday discount just last October.

anyway, i found some new merchandise on the site.
now i have my eyes on these - minibots thumb drives and handbags.. *oops* ;)

i like the Nobile and Elegante style most.

today is a happy day :)

1) because it's friday - TGIF!! fridays always make me happy :)
2) i'm finally able to take a teeny weeny break from work, just chill, watch TV and not worry about stuff for a little..
3) dinner at xinwang HK cafe tonight was simple and good... yumm yumm.
4) more tokidoki fever! lol..

i almost couldn't believe my eyes when my colleague pointed me to the tokidoki for sephora page online. O.M.G. in addition to their very successful line of canvas bags, clothing, collectibles, vinyl dolls and all.. tokidoki now comes in make up as well? woohoo! what more can a toki fan ask for? ;)

since the tokidoki-smashbox co-brand makeup collection launched in 2007 (which never made it to singapore), this is actually the first time tokidoki has launched a standalone makeup line of its own. isn't it exciting? exclusively distributed via sephora.com, with such affordable pricings (as compared to its regular line of merchandise), i've got a feeling this entire collection would completely sell out in no time at all.

i like the eyeshadow palettes, the lip glosses and the bellissima makeup pouches! :) such adorable designs and packaging. really wish sephora singapore would bring in the full range as well! pretty please...

the prettiest "phua chu kang boots" ever ;)

i saw a snapshot in the chinese newspapers 2 weekends ago, and just had to log on to this website to check out the full range of - rain boots! soooo cute...

countdown to comic convention 2009 (singapore)

7 more days... to the opening of the singapore toy, games and comic convention 2009 at suntec singapore. the exhibition is only open to public from 4:00pm, 14 august (friday) onwards and i have already blocked up my calendar for the event. yay! will be going with a few colleagues, especially for the autograph session with tokidoki (simone legno) over the weekend ;)

i hope we'll be as lucky as last year, and get to meet simone legno up close in person! i just adore tokidoki :) wonder if there'll be good bargains on the merchandises too.. hehehe.

the official site has just been launched, many details yet to to confirmed.. so check back later for more updates. but for now, i see simone legno's pic. on one of the banners on the homepage, i hope that means he'll be here again. if he's going to be at the convention, then i'll be there for sure! yoohoo! tokidoki here i come :P

ooh.. i would so get these in a heartbeat - a tokidoki skin (USD15.95) for my iphone! *swoon*..

i bet these are selling like hotcakes.. on my, this was just launched this week and 1 of the 3 designs (discoteca) is already out of stock! yikes!!! i wish some local store would sell this here, or shall i just order the inferno one from the tokidoki website?
