i came across these pictures on MSN news and just had to share them.
wow!
1) A man rides a horse through a bonfire in San Bartolome de Pinares, Spain in honor of Saint Anthony, the patron saint of animals. (AP Photo/Victor R. Caivano)
2) Arctic sea smoke drifts by Raw Faith, an 88-foot galleon, on a minus-12 degree F in Rockland, Maine. Sea smoke occurs when very cold air passes over warmer water. (AP Photo/Robert F. Bukaty)
3) John Sherman is caked in snow while using a snow blower to clear his driveway and sidewalk in South Bend, Ind, The bitter cold stretched from Montana to Maine and as far south as Georgia, driving people to pile on layers upon layers if they had to go out, and keeping some children home from school. (AP Photo/South Bend Tribune, Jim Rider)
aren't they amazing?
(ps: though the first picture seems somewhat cruel to the horse, doesn't that hurt? do they apply anything before braving the fire? and how did they even make the horse obey? hmm...)
